Crashing

Summer has been busy.  Impossibly busy.
I had all these notions about festivals, zoos, and picnics.
Hasn't happened yet.
So far it has been cleaning, funerals, and school.
Feeling like I am in a rut.
How to get out of it?
Any suggestions?
Don't say a vacation.  Saving up for a wedding, remember?
Need to perk up and cheer up...

Reviews of the Venues (All 2 of them...)

I said that I would review the places that we looked at for venues!
We only looked at 2 because we fell in love with one of them so quickly!
Okay, so we looked at Infunsino's in Racine and Bristol Oaks.

Review for Bristol Oaks
Bristol Oaks offers packages that include almost everything, inlcuding cake, linens, champagne toast, open bar, wine with dinner, etc....
The room that we were shown that our wedding would be in is L-shaped so there is an area that is separate for the ceremony.
There were windows galore that offered awesome lighting.
Buffet meals and sit down are offered starting at $21.95/plate.
There is also a bridal room as well as a locker room for the gentlemen and an outdoor site for photos.
Open bar hours can be split up!
All in all, a bit more expensive than we were looking for but gorgeous and cuts down the number of people that we have to deal with.
Also, we bring in the decorations and they do it all for us!  WOOHOO!
And, no fee for the hall for the rehearsal dinner.  :D

Review for Infunsino's
No packages for anything, including open bar.
Lower prices on food.
Includes linens, but not much else.
Limited space for the ceremony.
I know that the food is AMAZING! (Main reason why I wanted to check it out.)
Pretty dim lighting. (Which would be fine if we weren't doing the ceremony there.)
Very few options for picture settings.

Two of the things that Ty really wanted were ample lighting and open bar.  Unfortunately, Infunsino's did not cover either of them very well.

For us, Bristol Oaks is a better choice!

Location, location, location!

I know, I know.
I have not posted in FOREVER!
Truth be told, we have not made that much progress.
We made a few appointments at venues.
We only went to 2.
We absolutely loved the first place we went.
Just to cover our bases, we went to a second place.
Could not even compare!
So, our first place is our choice.
Are you ready?

BRISTOL OAKS!
We offically booked the day and put a down payment down for May 26, 2013.
It was a bit more expensive than we had been looking for, but we are going to trim our guest list down and keep it around 100.

We are also looking at a few fun details that we might be doing to make our wedding super awesome!

This is starting to feel real.
This was not the way that I had pictured me getting married as a little girl.
It looks like I may have done a few things out of order.
The thing is, this feels perfect.
It isn't going to be extravagant, but it is going to be completely ours.
I could not be happier with how things are going and the decisions we've made thus far!

Now, to keep dieting to keep losing weight!
