We have most of the big stuff picked out. Still doing down payments, but we have the big stuff taken care of.
Now, I am stagnating. I feel like it is so far away that I will have plenty time to do it. Famous last words, right?
So, I dedicated this evening to updating everything! The website, my wedding planner, my blog...all of it.
Also, if I still have any energy left, searching for invite ideas, decor ideas, and searching for the best deals for Save The Date magnets. Thinking I may just do the Walgreen's cards and put a magnet on myself, though. Hmm...decisions, decisions.
On other notes besides wedding, I will graduate the Associate's program the end of this week! WOOHOO!
Also, Ty just stood up in his friend, Ham's, wedding and I would like to stress how amazing he looked in his tux. Cannot wait to see him on our day!

Crashing
Summer has been busy. Impossibly busy.
I had all these notions about festivals, zoos, and picnics.
Hasn't happened yet.
So far it has been cleaning, funerals, and school.
Feeling like I am in a rut.
How to get out of it?
Any suggestions?
Don't say a vacation. Saving up for a wedding, remember?
Need to perk up and cheer up...

Reviews of the Venues (All 2 of them...)
I said that I would review the places that we looked at for venues!
We only looked at 2 because we fell in love with one of them so quickly!
Okay, so we looked at Infunsino's in Racine and Bristol Oaks.
Review for Bristol Oaks
Bristol Oaks offers packages that include almost everything, inlcuding cake, linens, champagne toast, open bar, wine with dinner, etc....
The room that we were shown that our wedding would be in is L-shaped so there is an area that is separate for the ceremony.
There were windows galore that offered awesome lighting.
Buffet meals and sit down are offered starting at $21.95/plate.
There is also a bridal room as well as a locker room for the gentlemen and an outdoor site for photos.
Open bar hours can be split up!
All in all, a bit more expensive than we were looking for but gorgeous and cuts down the number of people that we have to deal with.
Also, we bring in the decorations and they do it all for us! WOOHOO!
And, no fee for the hall for the rehearsal dinner. :D
Review for Infunsino's
No packages for anything, including open bar.
Lower prices on food.
Includes linens, but not much else.
Limited space for the ceremony.
I know that the food is AMAZING! (Main reason why I wanted to check it out.)
Pretty dim lighting. (Which would be fine if we weren't doing the ceremony there.)
Very few options for picture settings.
Two of the things that Ty really wanted were ample lighting and open bar. Unfortunately, Infunsino's did not cover either of them very well.
For us, Bristol Oaks is a better choice!
Location, location, location!
I know, I know.
I have not posted in FOREVER!
Truth be told, we have not made that much progress.
We made a few appointments at venues.
We only went to 2.
We absolutely loved the first place we went.
Just to cover our bases, we went to a second place.
Could not even compare!
So, our first place is our choice.
Are you ready?

BRISTOL OAKS!
We offically booked the day and put a down payment down for May 26, 2013.
It was a bit more expensive than we had been looking for, but we are going to trim our guest list down and keep it around 100.
We are also looking at a few fun details that we might be doing to make our wedding super awesome!
This is starting to feel real.
This was not the way that I had pictured me getting married as a little girl.
It looks like I may have done a few things out of order.
The thing is, this feels perfect.
It isn't going to be extravagant, but it is going to be completely ours.
I could not be happier with how things are going and the decisions we've made thus far!
Now, to keep dieting to keep losing weight!

Novelty Wearing Off!
Well, the endorphin high of being engaged has worn off.
Still, this whole planning thing is pretty exciting! And, even though I have weddingwire.com, I wanted something a little more tangible, so I bought a wedding planner/organizer.
So, this is the planner I bought. It is medium sized as far as how many pages there are. Which, for me, is perfect because I want to be able to add to it with internet print out pages. Customize it for me! (I mean Us. It is not MY wedding it is OUR wedding....have to remember that!)
Also getting together the list of halls that we want to go check out. Quite the long list, lemme tell you. Gonna spend probably two weeks getting Ty up early and to the damn places. Gotta remember what questions to ask! Hopefully my aunt will go over all of that with me before I have to go and venture out on my own!

What We Have So Far!
Okay, so we are going to check out halls starting the beginning of June! We have a couple in mind, but we haven't decided for sure yet! I will be posting reviews of the different halls and all that once we start looking at them!
We also have our colors pretty much picked out!

Like the colors? :D
Also, we figured out where we want to go on our honeymoon!

Lazy Cloud Bed and Breakfast in Lake Geneva!
Any ideas? Okay, gotta go work on the wedding website and update a few things now that my better half is home!
